An automatic trash can is a trash can that can open and close its lid automatically without being touched. This system uses Arduino Uno, an HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor to detect hand movements at a certain distance, and a servo motor to move the lid. When the ultrasonic sensor detects an object (e.g., a hand) within the specified distance, the Arduino instructs the servo to open the trash can lid. After a few seconds of inactivity, the lid will close automatically. This device helps improve cleanliness, hygiene, and convenience when disposing of trash.
