The admission of new undergraduate students at Lampung University (Unila) for the Bachelor’s degree program (S1) is conducted annually through various selection pathways, which are based on Ministerial Regulation No. 62 of 2023 Permendikbudristek Nomor 62 Tahun 2023 and Peraturan Rektor Unila Nomor 1 Tahun 2024. SThe selection includes the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP), National Selection Based on Test (SNBT), and Independent Admission Pathways to Lampung University (SIMANILA). SIMANILA consists of written exam pathways and affirmation pathways, such as the Special Achievement Pathway and the Expansion of Educational Access for Students (PMPAP), intended for the children of lecturers and educational staff. The main objective of this admission process is to meet the student quota for various study programs and provide opportunities for prospective students to continue higher education according to the predetermined capacity. All selection processes are carried out on the Unila campus in Bandar Lampung, Indonesia.
The National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) and National Selection Based on Test (SNBT) are managed by the Educational Testing Management Center (BPPP), which is the institution responsible for conducting standardized university entrance tests in Indonesia. Information related to the recruitment and selection of new undergraduate students can be found on the official BPPP website. Both pathways are conducted online through a centralized platform at https://snpmb.bppp.kemendikbud.go.id/, where applicants can select the test location flexibly, and the selection results are announced through the applicant’s SNPMB account. Both selection pathways use the Computer-Based Written Test (UTBK) supervised by BPPP. The SNBP pathway relies on high school report card scores and academic and non-academic achievements determined by Lampung University (Unila), while the SNBT pathway is based on the UTBK results.
Meanwhile, the independent pathway at Lampung University, known as SIMANILA, is managed independently by the university, and its system is updated every year via http://www.simanila.unila.ac.id. Applicants in this pathway must have graduated from high school (SMA), Madrasah Aliyah (MA), Vocational High School (SMK), or equivalent in the last three years and can choose a study program according to their interests. There are several independent pathways at Lampung University, including:
- SIMANILA Written Exam Pathway. The Written Exam Pathway is one of the 2024 Independent Selection programs at Lampung University (SIMANILA). This pathway is a selection for new undergraduate students conducted by Lampung University, based on the results of a Computer-Based Written Test (UTBK) administered by Lampung University.
- Special Achievement Pathway. The Special Achievement Pathway is an admission program that provides opportunities for high school (SMA), Madrasah Aliyah (MA), Vocational High School (SMK) graduates, and equivalent students who have special achievements in academics, sports, arts, and religious fields. This pathway is independently managed by Unila through the following link: https://simanila.unila.ac.id/?page_id=1960.
- PMPAP (Expansion of Educational Access for Students Pathway). PMPAP is one of the new undergraduate student admission programs under the SIMANILA Independent Selection that is specifically intended for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Through PMPAP registration, new students are offered scholarships to help support their financial needs. Prospective students can find information about this pathway through the following link: https://simanila.unila.ac.id/?page_id=1960. [Evidence] The selection procedure for PMPAP, in addition to the written test, includes interviews and surveys conducted at the prospective student’s residence to verify the data’s accuracy.

The requirement is that the prospective student must be listed in the Family Card (KK) of a lecturer or educational staff member.
