Head of Study Program’ Profile

Dr. Viyanti, M.Pd, with the Academic Position of Associate Lecturer, was born in Tanjung Karang on March 30, 1980. She obtained her Bachelor of Education degree from the Physics Education Study Program, University of Lampung in 2002, her Master of Education degree from the Science Education Study Program, Indonesian University of Education in 2009, and her Doctorate degree in Science Education from Sebelas Maret University in 2019.

In the field of teaching, the courses taught are the History of the Development of Physics, Physics Instrumentation, Earth and Space Sciences, and Research Methodology. In addition, in the past five years, Dr. Viyanti, M.Pd., has also produced several books, including “Earth” (2019), “Science Learning in the Era of Digital Acceleration” (2020), and “The Development of the History of Physics from Time to Time” (2020). In 2021, she focused on the solar system by releasing a series of books on asteroids, comets, the sun, the moon, planets, and satellites, all published by Bumi Aksara. The same year, she also contributed to the research methodology literature with the book “Discussions Regarding Research Methodology.” This achievement reflects her commitment to producing quality scientific work.

In the field of research, Dr. Viyanti has been involved in various research activities from various funding sources, including Implementation of STEM Physics Education in Malaysia and Indonesia, Boosting Smart-Risk Taking Behavior and Growth Mindset Through Ethnoscience-Based Learning, and Development of Scientific Argumentation Physics Test Instruments Based on Modern Test Theory Using Question Modeling Through E-Learning Schoologi LMS.

Dr. Viyanti has also published a number of articles in various national and international journals, some of which are “Learning Strategies Design to Accommodate Learning Styles, Initial Knowledge and Reduce The Differences of Scientific Reasoning and Argumentation Performance,” “Design of e-modules to stimulate HOTS on static fluid materials with the STEM approach,” and “Reconstruction of Higher Order Thinking Skill Through Enriching Student’s Argumentation Skills”.
